any pro's or cons that you'd like to mention?

i could get a new one off eBay for 170ish...so i might take the offer

hmmm pros and cons. the only thing ive had problems with with my unit is the sat radio. my CeNet thing doesnt work so there for my sat radio doesnt work. it may not have as much control as the newer alpine or eclipse units, but still a great unit

but thats the only thing i have had a problem with. its a great unit. if you get it you will not be dissappointed i promise.

I just ordered the Clarion yesterday..Anyway after searching around here for info on it another thing you might want to know is that it does not have a high pass filter.

whats the down side to this? and what would a high pass filter benefit me w/?

and does the CDA-9847 have it?

high pass filter is a built in crossover. it would keep bass frequencies from going to the speakers. and i dont believe that the alpine has high or low pass filter.

are there any HU's that include a HPF that is around my price range (180-220max)?

and it wouldnt matter if i had this option if i planned on upgrading my components in the future, would it?

i have the clarion. it has a lpf. if you have an amp for comps a hpf is not needed. plus 4 v per preout is great. and the sub preout is non fading. plus the motorized face is just pimp and gets the girls goin. lol
