Ok I'm looking to replace my two door speakers in my '99 Jeep Cherokee 2dr...I'm pretty sure theat I have two 6.5"s in the door. I want to replace those, plus an amp all for under 130....Any suggestions?

are you serious??? if you only have 130 then save your money. I dont know what you are working with system wise but that 130 is very limited...

u can replace the doors for some pretty good coaxials for that but probably no amp. U might be able to find some comps for that. But I dunno if they would be that great.

I've got plenty of money but I really don't want to spend it all on two speakers for my doors.....I've got other things I need to do to my jeep......

I'd say forget the amp and just get some co-axials...and run them off the headunit. Get Alpine Type-S, very good for the price. And you do not need to dynamat the door lol

Wait, you mean people that listen to rap actually consider improving the sound that's not bass? *confused* =p
Seeing as you'll probably never find any respectable or good sounding component sets and an amp for $130, some really nice coaxials would be a better option. Since almost all the rap I've heard has almost no midbass, you shouldn't worry yourself with that. ;)

Any live instrument rap will have midbass, thats alot of old school stuff, The Roots, Atmosphere... hell, anything with a kick drum has midbass, thats what the initial kick and the hit you feel in your chest is.

Well I couldn't just buy a pair of speakers and hook them up to an amp?

Beat me to it!
I didn't say all rap has no midbass, I just said all the stuff I had to listen to when I rode the bus to HS a long time ago. All that popular **** people liked. Of course, it's quite possible the bus itself had no midbass.
