Whatever you feel sounds good...CDT's tend to sound good where ever you stick them without much work, but may not be the most sonically accurate. I was reading something and they feel significantly around 16khz, which for most people would not be the end of the world. That is a good deal on the ef cfs, but those need power, and lots of it, so i'd hope you have a powerful amp to drive them.

You may want to try and find a dealers for just about anything postedin this thread and go listen to the speakers yourself and see which you prefer.

i love my ef's with 180w to each side they are really alive. but like he just said they sounded like crap with my previous amp that was 75w x 2.

I didn't check the specs on that kicker, but I'd assume it has plenty of power.

The Type-x's are nice speakers but they have a few flaws. First their midrange is enourmous, if this is going in a door you are going to have a hell of a time getting it in there. I also did not care too much for the tweeter. The CDT's would probably be great for you as long as you give them t he power.

Don't need one, hence spend nothing on it :)

upgrade the alt. the cap just puts more strain on your charging system. and the search function works great!

Hey man, tell me how you like those CDT's when you get them. I am thinking about buying a pair myself.
