aight, my 10" daytons are fairly decent, output wise, but they are still lacking the "deep pounding, pissing off parents" bass that i like. I'm going to sell the daytons and the box (if anyone wants it) and upgrade to a single 15" setup. does anyone have any recommendations for a 15" driver to use with my amp (PE 250 watt, and if not, then i may just sell the amp as well and get the 500 watter or a 300 watter if anyone makes one)? also, are those amps 2 ohm stable as that would make things MUCH easier. any recommendations on drivers? i was thinking about a perhaps an avalance, but I am looking for a solid sql sub. hopefully under 2 bills (more depending on if the suggestion is incredible)....whatcha thinkin?

Well, a single SoundSplinter RL-i 12 would work well. I know you said 15...BUT my rl-i 12 off a 250rms plate amp is AMAZING, especially in the lows.

Another option is the Ascendant Audio Atlas 15, would work well in ported off 250rms.

Either would work well, give you more output...especially lows...and are suited well for home audio. I LOVE my rl-i 12...and haven't heard an atlas 15...

He had like 2000 watts and 4 drivers right? Haha...

Also Getting a 300 watt amp would be pointless, that 250 pe does 270. Maybe the new Adire stuff would be worth checking out. Also what Daytons are you running? They do make quite a few drivers. My Titanic MKII 10 does one hell of a job shaking the house...

15" RL-p + QSC RMX850/Behringer Europower + folded horn = broken plates.

Not saying you can't do it, just not too common ;)

The plate amp that came with my Adire Rava has worked fine...I can't imagine the PE one to be that different.

Yeah, they all seem fairly similar in options and stuff anyway.

Personally the dayton because that PE one will be hungry for power, and if the enclosure is built right the Dayton should play fine.

Its a Kove Armageddon basically...

I was going to say Atlas 15" for the 250w plate amp...

i have no experience with kove..........are they any decent? nah i'm getting rid of the 250 watter. need something with more punch.

Kove is decent, but I meant more power more money, and the PE?kove will want more power.

:D

the dayton will be easier to get also, as PE is in ohio, and i'm watching some ROE vids, and they're not all that impressive. BUT, that is a BUT, i want to see some car #s on these splinters.

I have a Dayton 12" MKIII in 3.5 cubes tuned to 18-19hz and its plenty for me SPL-wise. I use it for both movies and music and really couldn't ask for much more (good output down to the teens). Mine is fed by the PE 250w plate amp also.
