You need a plate amp (check Parts Express, they sell a wide range of them) to power your sub, and then run speaker wire from the high level outputs on your receiver to the inputs on the plate amp.

Don't mix sub sizes...go with a 12", or an 8", but not both...

i'd go with the 240 watt one, as u can always wire it down to 8 ohms and u still ahve the ability to crank out more. are those plate amps 2 ohm stable?

no im not mixin them im jsut takin the 12" off one day since its old and then get a good new 8" sub and i was figuring with an 8 i could just get the 100 watt one

but with a 10" or 2-3 8s (good 8" ht sub? bah) you're gonna want more power. my 250 watt plate amp pushes in my daytons like michael jackson w/ an 8 yr old
