Guys can any of you guide me about RE components. Are them the best when compared with the same price range speakers such as CDT, DLS ? i am NOT going for the higest end and my budget isn't high either. Want to put them in Acura Rl as front. Should i rather get midbass for my rear doors or just add a single sub? what would u guys suggest? my budget is under $ 500 icnluding an amp. i have also seen kicker 3 channel amp Kicker 04KX550.3 . plz let me know "Where to get RE comps for best price" and a decent amp to power them. and midbass or a sub option?

Where to get RE comps for best price

Well, there isn't much of an option here ;) Either from your local dealer (if you have one), or directly from RE (if you don't have a local dealer). Or find someone selling a used pair.

For an amp, check out the older Xtant 403a. Its a 3 channel that should run the RE's fine and will support a sub too (50Wx2 + 100Wx1 -- all double at 2 ohms)... and you can find em scattered around the net for $100-$200

Very nice amp, it's what I'm runnin now :)

...so, you could do something like that, and get the RE comps, and still have $150 or more for a RE RE 12" sub or a pair of kicker comp subs....or something similar

[EDIT: just thought I'd add that 200W @ 2 ohms to subs doesnt slouch. I have 2 100W pioneer 10's on that channel, and I got a 136dB on termlab in sealed boxes! Long live the budget system LOL]
