i have decided to just go with a simple 2-way comp set. i plan on bridging my amp which is rated at 250 x2 rms at 4 ohms but according to the birth sheet i should get about 280 watts. looking for 6.5's with silk tweets. the only thing that really comes to mind is cdt hd-62's. any suggestions?

well the z6's are a little out of my price range but i was thinking about the boston acoustic pro series http://www.woofersetc.com/product.asp?0=237&1=238&3=1226 the only problem is the 3 ohm impedence. not sure if my amp will handle that since it's a 4-channel being bridged.

You'll be fine. I ran my BA Pro6.5's on an amp that was not stable into impedances lower than 4ohm (Eclipse 34230), and I never had a problem.

And those Pro's are great speakers IMO. I loved the ones I had. And they'll run great off that power.

e-mailed the guy on the boston pros and i think i'm gonna grab them if he still has them. i also e-mailed phoenix gold and they said my amp will be all right running at 3 ohms.
