Try the home theatre section.
Athena AS-F2's...
JBL Northridge's...
Ascend Acoustics...
DIY :)
Although, from the reviews I've read, both the Streems and the Fluance's are very nice for the money.

Paradigm Studio 20's bookshleves guaranteed.
They can be found here (http://www.paradigm.com/Website/SiteReferenceProduct/RModels/StudioSeries/studioseries.html)

These will blow you away. I know audiophiles who are in love with these. They are far superior to the above mentioned.
how much do those studio 20's cost?
I may order the Streem's this weekend... :D
another option...Parker Audio 95's or 98's...http://www.parkeraudio.net
Very high-efficiency speakers.
ok guys. I've made my decision.
Streem ht-808 ----- $579 shipped
pioneer vsx1014 ---- $349 + shipping
32" sony wega ------ $300 used
I should be picking up the tv this weekend and ordering the pioneer and streem this weekend as well. Total comes out to $1200 give or take. And I will spend the rest of the money on a subwoofer or invest it into my car... :D
Sub/amp for it? ;)
Can't forget that...
yes. sub is one of the most important part of home theater. As of right now Im not in a hurry to get a sub, but if I do, my options are velodyne, klipsch, polk audio, and hsu. As far as amps go, please name me a few so I can start researching. I've never purchased amps before so I dont really know where the prices range from and whats out there. But I would like to keep it under $300 if possible. Thanks!
Hsu makes some good powered sub combo's...also the Adire Audio Rava for $400 can't really be beat for an assembled unit. Although, it would be cheaper to DIY one :)
ascendant AV18+10 cubes+10hz+250w?

SVS would be another possible option for a subwoofer. They are pretty incredible.

I also recommend HSU Research and Sunfire.
SVS has some awesome drivers, but personally I think they're overpriced for what they are :)
Still really nice if you have the money for one, though.
