$4.29/gal for reg 87 at Sunoco down the street. $96-$98 per tank. 22.5gal tank. I fill up about twice per month. Sometimes more and sometimes less. I get about 12-14mpg city and around 19-21 highway. I only really drive an avg of about 4 miles per day.

Any long distance travel we use my wife's 06 WRX.

4 and change in the Philly area. It's paid off so gas doesn't kill me like it would if I was still makin a payment and I'm still survivin. I've never thought once about trading and takin on 4-5 more years of 300-plus per month on something brand new to save 1-200 in gas. At best it's a wash. And I'm not interested in insuring and maintaining a beater so I live with(actually still love) my Dodge truck. I'll take gas prices into consideration next time I need to hit up the dealerships but I'm not rushing out to spend thousands of dollars on something else when I know I would still need to keep the 4-banger for a few years to make out on the deal. I have one vehicle, it's perfectly maintained and paid for, I have no interest in complicating the situation.

My buddy just got rid of a real nice 04 F150 supercrew and traded it for a girly compact. It's all fine and good if you want to conserve but at the end of the day he will have made car payments for over 8 years and financed negative equity. Maybe the big savings are there and I'm just too dumb to see it, but I don't get it.

They've started getting more flexible at work about taking work vehicles home with gas on the company dime so I'm not exactly turnin my nose up at the offer. Don't get me wrong, until recently I was driving in 5 days a week and it wasn't breakin the bank or anything but it's too good to pass up. Between that and takin the train once or twice per week I'm down to driving my own vehicle to work on average about twice per week, other than that I mainly enjoy my truck on the weekends. The plan is to start using the company ride most of the time. I'm actually not doing it so much for the gas as for the fact that it's a 3.5 year old truck with nearly 68000 miles and I'm tryin to slow it down a bit.

If you want a really sweet Honda, and by no means am I joking, look into a CVCC. Oldschool so it isn't as stylish as any of the newer vehicles but it has great gas mileage.

.10 off FTW. I'm amazed that gas is under $2 though.

naw they just switched their lil plan for the gas. Instead of paying .10 at a time it adds up. For example, every $100 you spend, you get .10 off a gallon. Well, me and the gf have spent over $500 there in the past few weeks so the .10 multiplies so it would be .10 x 5 which is .50 and since I havent filled up at kroger in those few weeks it added up so I got .50 off a gallon to make it $1.88

RAM_Designs
02-19-2010, 09:41 PM
Hmmm, doesn't work like that here. We get .03 off any time, and .10 after spending $100 there, but it doesn't add up to .20, .30, or whatever...just .10 the next time you fill up.

SAZCLASSD
02-19-2010, 09:45 PM
yeah they just started it here.....we had like .70 the first time and she pulled up to the pump and was like wtf?!?! and the lady told her that they jus took all of our .10 bulid-ups and added them up and then when you fill up it starts back at $0....i like the way they did it before better

You can thank facebook for that... Some guy in egypt named his first born daughter facebook for the medium that helped over throw muburak and now its causing unrest in libya. oh well humans like to live in the ignorance is bliss state and is willing to adopt any new technology blindly assuming it will help the progression of society. Nothing we can do about it, we brought this upon ourselves. yay mark zuckerburg, man of the year. facebook is already being incorporated into everything. new cars have it built in now, most corporations release deals and coupons solely on their facebook page and run contests giving away stuff to the people that like them which is helping them build their "facebook insight" database. I can't wait til facebook is incorporated into spoons that will automatically update my status on what cereal I chose to eat. Woot!

sole reason why I stopped visiting car audio forums is because of degenerates. The ones that think facebook friends equate to real life friends. Whatever, keep fueling fascistbook my friend.

Yep...it is.

But on the bright side....everyone there drives 1.3 litre's. There, the bigger the motor, the more you pay for insurance. That's why there are so many bikes there. Cheap to make go fast.

True except I am taking my car. it is a v6 sonata with a 16 gallon tank. Thank god for military gas stations or else my entire pay would go to gas.

I could go on all day about the negative implications of facebook on our society though im not sure anyone wants to hear me rant about this. Pandora's box has been opened my friend. Just need to ride the wave through all the turmoil and make it back to humanity.

Most of you guys are lucky you don't live in SoCal in this regard. During my lifetime the highest I saw was around 4.80 for 87. One of the good things about going to school in MI. :) It's near 4.00 as of a few weeks ago, not sure what it is atm.

EDIT: 5.10!!!!! Holy babies!

Not everywhere in Oklahoma. My parents still live in Okeene. Its always higher there than it is here in Dallas. We usually have decent gas prices down here. I believe my mom said it was $3.50 a gallon there in Okeene. A bit better in Enid. I miss the good ole days when I lived in Okeene. Gas was <$1 a gallon.

There are times when I'm glad Im from Oklahoma. I know how to fix anything with bailin wire. But other times, Im glad I'm not sheltered anymore
