You get what you pay for. What are you expecting out of a comp set that costs $77?

true in some ways but false in others...all depends on your install...you can make cheap comps sound great and expensive sound awful

How much are you lookin' to spend? Just as cheap as possible, or do you have a set limit?

Well, since you're on a forum... I'm going to suggest a different approach. Get less parts, but better parts. Those amps are not that good, the subs really aren't either, and the C6's aren't much of a DLS setup. When someone said lower end DLS, I don't think they meant the Classics (maybe...) at least the Magnesiums for 2 bills?

How about a good set of coaxes, a single sub, and a good 4-channel amp? You can do that for $500. Then later you can jettison the coaxes or use them for R fill...

How about an MTX 12" in a box, a Kicker 4-channel amp, and a set of MB Quart Discus coaxes? Last time I checked you could get all that at onlinecarstereo for under $500. Better gear and better sound too.

I can understand being on a budget and wanting to bump asap, but I would recommend saving your cash on each item as you go along and get some quality stuff, that way you wont have to upgrade later on and spend even more money. It pays off in the long run trust me. :imo:

If you are so worried about your car gettiung stolen maybe before you get the audio maybe you should get an alarm system lol

That's were the installation comes into play. Poorly installed alarms are easy to disable and get by......but a true professional should leave no wires easily accessed or easily identifable as being an alarm wire.

If you are looking for two cheap subs check out the mtx thunder 6000s. For the price, they can't be beat. For cheap amps, i recommend clarion. They aren't very powerful, but they are extremely clean.
