I currently running a set of 5.25 and 6.5 mb Discus coax speakers powered by 40rms each. They sound great but seem to play too high and scream and hurt your ears when at moderate to high volumes. Are these speakers just like that or should it sound better tweaked with an eq. I know reference or premium model's sound alot better to upgrade to, but is it worth it, and can they handle some power/ volume?
