part of my latest project...it's a EL84 single-ended triode amplifier, does around 2 watts into a 2-8 ohm load. Yup - count 'em; one, two. This was one of a matched set of monoblocks, and I'm thinking of talking to the seller to get a better deal on the second channel :p: it's sitting at home 200 miles away right now, driving a single horrendous Yamaha bookshelf and a Kenwood FM tuner...waiting for better days :)

I might sell it in the future to go to a 6W pentode setup...or EL34 integrated...****, I have too much free time and not enough $ :up2somet:

retail...$425 per watt :) needless to say, i didn't pay that much ;)

If I do end up getting the second and monoblocking it, I'm swapping out the rectifier...sonuva***** starts to rattle after it gets warmed up; that's what you get with $5 stock Chinese-built tubes.

thats hella **** and everythin...but i just dont get what u can do with 2 watts...plz xplain it to me

you'd be really surprised what it can do...

once I get this on the real speakers I'll be using, with at least 93dB/W, it'll be room-filling.

lol should i get it?

That would depend on what "it" is :D

And what you're looking to do with "it"...

If you're unsure, wait a month or two, if I don't go monoblocks I'll have this one up for sale.

are we speaking of compression horns? planar speakers (retarded) use much less wattage than regular drivers.
