What would be the better way to go for 4 doors with 4 channel amp. 1 set of 5 1/4 mb quart RCE 213 compontents and coaxials in the back...or 2 sets of Alpine SPR-136A components 5 1/4

and would it give me some good SQ even though there wouldnt be a sub

i would go with one high end MB quarts over two alpine components. first of all, because i dont like using rear fill.. i prefer only a front stage. second, because i prefer MB quarts components over alpine's. although i'm in love with my alpine head unit.. im not as fond with their component lines. i, myself, have a set of infinity perfect 6.1 components in the front, no speakers in the back, and no subwoofer. the music is great in SQ and such, but i still itch for that subwoofer. gotta have those ultra-low booming frequencies.. but thats just me.

Thats what I was thinking. Though that would mean that I have 2 open channels on the amp. I was wondering if i could put one 10" sub in the trunk and run it off the extra 2 channels

Per channel @ 4 Ohms
@ 12.9v input *************65Wx4CH

Per channel @ 2 Ohms
@ 12.9v input *************80Wx4CH

Bridged Mono @ 4 Ohms
@ 12.9v input *************160Wx2CH

that would work. i, personally, would run a 2-channel to the comps and a mono amp to the sub. that way i can pick how much watts is going to the sub instead of getting a 4 channel and only being able to pump maybe 200-300 watts for the sub.

Personally I'd go with some rear fill if you ever have any passengers in the back. I have the same thing right now and only have the front stage running at the moment and will be getting a pair of Infinity 5x7s for rear fill soon. I sat in the back of my car (was drinking) and you get ALOT more bass and not enough highs back there IMO.

I would have 5x7s in the back...running off the HU instead of the amp..that should work
