I'm looking to purchase a Shiva so I'm building my box to its specs. I am building a sealed box because I'm a bit tight for space.
Sealed: 25.5 liter with a Q of .95 Best suited for a car or a home application where space is critical.
54 liter with a Q of .707 Well suited for home theater movies as well as music applications.
88.5 liter with a Q of .6 for a tight, well defined audiophile bass output.

This is what I have found as specs for size. I have looked at the depth of the driver and the space I have and I can go a little bigger than 25.5 liters. Making the sealed box bigger wont harm the sound/ sub will it? Basically am I better off going bigger or keeping it small for this sub?

Also what exactly is that "Q" .....??

Thanks

actually imo i think you are better off keeping a sealed box a little on the small side, because you can always add polyfill to make the sub act like it's in a bigger sealed box. i would go with the recommend size and play around with different amounts of polyfill till you get it sounding how you like it.
