i got myself an alpine 9831 from circuit city on
clearance and the wiring harness...

now ive got it wired and have tried it in the car
and the cd player works and the unit powers
so i dont think i messed anything up, but
i get no radio stations...

i dont have anything plugged into the antenna
adapter in the HU because i have no idea what
to put there...

also... accord owners who have done the headunit
install in the storage compartment how did you rig
up the screen on the factory HU to at least light up???

also... there are 2 orange wires for illumination... why?

what the hell? youre car should have a plug for the antenna. if your old head unit (stock) worked with FM/AM stations then you evidently have an antenna. Find that plug.. it might be far back in a mess of wires. the orange illumination wires are unused unless the deck has an illumination wire.. my alpine doesnt.

my alpine does have an illumination wire... i guessed and
it does illuminate and dim when you turn the headlights on
so i guess i didnt screw that up... i might "try" the other
one though just to see what it does.

as for the antenna... seriously i dont think there is one...

can anyone with an 03 or 04 or 05 accord verify this??

look at the back of your stock unit, uf there is an antenna lead, you'll see a hole for it onthe rear of the stocker.

Connecting the antenna should be very simple... The antenna signal wire is just this big ugly plug that goes into a big hole in the back of your head unit... at least thats what it looks like in all the cars that I have worked on.
