yes, no comparison at all. The MBQs are like holding a feather when compared to these beasts.

inverted... hmm that would be nice. but not doable.

midbass is directional...

Not to mention inverting it would cause some hella phasing/cancellation/etc issues because of the magnet and basket being in the way. However, there was a car in a car audio mag that had inverted Audiobling mids (6.5" and 4" mids; both inverted) Suprised the idiot didn't try to invert the tweeter

Anyways....nice mids :thumbupw:

You can try these: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=260-422

No promises though....don't know if the XXX mids are oversized or not, etc etc.

they are, I have tons of 6.5 grills laying around and none of them fit at all. The XXX mids are more like 6.75" or even 7" might work. I have gone aroung to the local shops to see if any have any 7" grills and some dont even know what im talking about and tell me what I have **** and I sould buy some fosgate speakers because they are the best. Stupid 16 year olds, they all work at the moble electronics store because they think its soo cool and they can hook up their buddys with "hot" brands such as "fosgates" and "lightnings".

Because of the group buy, they were $179 shipped. Now that the group buy is over, they are back up to original price, which is around $259

I don't know if they'll sell just the RE mids. That is a question you'd have to ask RE.

You should bring the xxx in and place it on the counter and say: "explain to me how that POS fosgate sitting there is going to sound better than this beast!"

Mine came in last night. Came home at 9 at night. Saw the parcel. Snapped about 7~8 pics.

Got the new custom passives ready. Went down to install them at around 11. Finished installing at midnight (applied extra damping mats and sound absorbtion mats). Turned it on.

Wow... output is....phenomenal. I question myself why I bought and used dynaudio in the first place. SQ is great, SPL is...what do you expect from a 6.5" that has one way xmax of 13mm? Never felt so much air displaced on my shin from other speakers.

And to think my old school amp doesn't provide gobs of power.

All I need to do now is to get my stupid 50Hz highpass module to work. Else I gotta get the F-Mods.

Id like to say I saw that car, but uhm, you pretty much described most 'show cars' and truck in mags today. :banghead: It makes me almost ill to see some gorgeous lowrider or street rod in a magazine pimped out with the best of everything, only to see they've stuffed the interior with as many inverted Abahn mids as possible. Had a large car show here at Pismo Beach last weekend, I was astounded how many inverted abahn mids I saw, how many speakers I saw on ceilings firing down :uhoh: or in center consoles firing up/out/any direction they felt like, etc, etc. Its truely sad to see someone spend so much time and money on a show vehicle, only to obviously know nothing about car audio and just send it off to someone for the stereo install, who aprently only knows slightly more. And the mumbles from the crowd? "Wow, he's got chrome speakers on his roof, that's sooo cool!"

That's the other sad part. All the other idiots walking around  at it and tell the owner how awesome it is.....mistakenly making him think he actually did something correctly.
