You don't even need that bullshit if you have Aux inputs on your headunit.

i think the advantage to having the alpine deck instead of using the aux. inputs is that you can control the ipod from the h/u. not entirely necessary, but still kinda cool.

exactly. + i've read that the alpine headunits have some mp3 expanders that enhance certain things that mp3s lack. not sure of the exact technical stuff...but supposedly it has it :uhoh:

pioneers have that too. its called the bmx digital enhancement. supposedly it amplifies the minute details of music that get mitigated when you compress music.

Hey man! Glad to see you stopped by the site, missed your message on AIM the other day! But, so far...alpine is the only company to have HeadUnits with the Integrated Ipod adapter other than the UBER expensive Clarion In-dash listed! peace

What about Kenwood HU's? I know they got the Music Keg, but those are redundant and expensive :chix:

Also, is the mobile audio industry in the process of standardizing teh input/output hardware and software so they can be run through head units?

For people still with their stock headunit, Monster Cable has introduced the Monster iCruze. It looks pretty cool. It's an interface for the iPod, but runs through the stock headunit.

I don't get any noise problems wiring the iPod through aux input. I can't really tell the difference from the iPod and a CD burned from the same MP3s on my Nak.
