I'm looking to put some really good 6x9s in the rear and was looking for some opinions. The stocks do pretty good but I want something that can get louder and bang a little harder. I have subs already but I'm working on getting rid of them because they **** so I'm just wanting to do some small upgrades for now. These will be going into a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi.

I've gotten good opinions on these:

Any suggestions for an amp would be good too. I plan to get subs in the summer but I need something to hit hard for now.

I too was in the same predicament as you. I didn't buy either speaker or any yet, but I surely did research a lot.

There is some stuff on the Infinity Kappa 693.5i's. Most people say that the highs are too harsh and the lows are lacking.

The JBL T595 was very hard to find stuff about, but it does sell a lot cheaper on ebay for $134.50 shipped; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14942&item=5753661534&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
I emailed one guy asking him about the speaker. I notced bought a pair of these speakers from this guy on ebay. Here's what he said...

"these speakers are a re release of a late 1980's jbl t545 . they are the best sounding 6x9 you will ever have. i had a few sets of the t545 back in the day and was looking for a used set of them on ebay and came across the re release jbl's. i have tried every 6x9 out there, polk, infinity, rockford, pyle, pioneer, etc. and while they all sounded good the jbl's blow them away. you will not be sorry if you buy them. let me know what you think if you get them.
talk to you later"

Other than that email, I think the only other pretty good review is the one on that cardomain.com page.

If I had to personally choose out of the two speakers, I would choose the JBL T595's. They seem like they really pack a punch, but they're discouraging to some when they see the $300 price tag on cardomain.com. Good luck; happy buying! :-)

I won't buying them off of the CarDomain web site so don't worry about price. I'll pick them up off of eBay or the forums. Anybody else who actually has these 6x9s in their ride?
