Any thoughts? Will be used w/ JBL 6x9s full range fronts, JBL 5 1/4 midbass (rear), Aura tweeters, 2 8" Rockford subs and an Acoustic amp.
Will be it a vast improvement over a Kenwood S2009 or Sony 7705? (both of which I have stored away)

Although Alpine has a solid CD transport, unparalleld output, and a quick MP3 search function, the sound processing at most is bass and treble adjustments. The Panasonic has a 7 band EQ, 5 volt preouts, and crossovers which will probably be better for sound adjustments. I vote for the Panasonic.

I had the panasonic and the setting options were numerous and useful. I loved it, I mean rear sub out, dual AUX in, 5v preout, everything was amazing. The EQ it had was easy to use and change on the fly so when i needed less bass more treble it was all right there. It is especially perfect for running speakers off the unit. The clearest sound i have ever heard from non-exeternal-amped speakers. Why did i get rid of it if it is soo good.... i got the 8400 :)
