well i wouldn't for that model eclipse, but if you swap it for a 8454, 8053, or 8443. i went from an 8600 to my 8443 and i'm very happy i did. the pioneer was great, but the 8443 was even greater.

Well if you do end up going ahead with that, I want first dibs on that Pioneer of yours. :)

In a heartbeat dude. Why are you still reading this and not at the store already?
If the Pioneer Unit you have does what you need it to without issue; then there's really not a need to change.
Upgrading without specific purpose is just throwing money away foolishly.....

You could probably sell the 860 for enough to cover the eclipse, so if you want a different deck, and you like the eclipse better, might as well.

the only reason would be for sq which no that i think about wouldn't do me any good because of the crappy speakers i have now

In your case, you'd likely be better off looking into speakers or processing of some type.
Your current HU really is a pretty decent product. Plenty of power, user options, tuning options, and versatility.
I'd personally keep it for now.

the only way i would trade that deck is if it was for an eclipse 8454/8443/8053 and not a 5444. to me it seems like you are downgrading by going to the 5444.
