I've been out of the car audio world for a while, but I'm ramping up to install a new system in my Camaro. All I'm wondering is if Alpine is still leading the pack for reasonably priced head units? I'm not sure which model I want yet but am I safe with any of them? Any reason to pick one over another besides simple features?
Thanks!

ya I would definatly narrow it down to alpine, eclipse and maybe pioneer but it all depends on your tastes. I personally like eclipses and alpines better but from those two i prefer alpine because they are cheaper and can be bought easier. Ive had my deck for almost 7 months and Ive never had any problems with it and it is a great deck.
How much are you willing to spend on a head unit?

Like others have said, Alpine and Eclipse (new ones have questionable looks.) Also, Pioneer Premier are good.

if money isnt an issue and it doesnt matter that the deck doesnt have a detachable face, go with the eclipse.
