"Aux"?

hi i have a pioneer hu and was wondering about this option. what does this function do? should i just leave it in the "off" setting? i do have a equalizer hooked up to my deck via rca cables, does that matter or considered auxilliary??

The Aux function is an INPUT. Like adding XM radio or a DVD player ect. You dont need it on if you dont have anything connected to it.

so a graphic equalizer wouldnt affect that setting at all??
