Wondering if anyone has any experience with this h/u? I've heard of a "pop" noice problem at turn-on. Is this a frequent complain? Any and all info and insight on the h/u would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

i've read about the turn on pop as well. if you live with that i bet it will be a great deck. i'm getting one myself. i've seen where people have tested there preouts and they did not clip even at full volume. they also test rms voltage and it stayed at 8 volts rms. also has pro mode which looks pretty nifty.

my 8053 sometimes makes a pop sound. It stopped doing it so I guess it's cool. It used to do it a lot though, but like I said hasn't in about 2 months.

Don't most of your amps have some kind of delayed turn on..?

Have an 8053, haven't experienced it. I know it was present in both the 8053 and 8443, but I believe they have rid themselves of the problem over time.

I saw VERY few complaints on the 8053 regarding pops(so few that I believe that those pops were more an install issue than the deck, itself....my 8053 never had any pops).

The 8443 has had many more problems with pops(atleast on the forums I frequent). That being said, the local shop never had any pop issues with 8443s(and, ofcourse, 8053s).

Whats up PerryB :)

I know I saw one or two threads somewhere about the 8053, so I just threw it in there to be safe. Wasn't 100% sure, but thanks for clearing it up :)

If we threw in every deck we have seen one or 2 threads on pops(or skipping, or whatever else), then every deck ever manufactured has problems.

Nearly all issues are due to installs, imo.
