Hey guys my first post!! woo hoo! Anyways, i have a budget of 150 dollars but may be able to exceed that by 20 dollars if the speakers are better.... But i am looking at cdt cl-61t, the titanium tweeter. Possible a profile amp to push them with, the Boss IQ380.2, it has .01% THD and 105 s/n, this is better than the power acoustics that i was looking at for the same price. Buy it has 160 watts per channel at 4 ohms.... is this too much?Or if you can find one better for 100 bucks... But please help! i wanna get the best possilbe for the money oh and I want these to be freaking loud! then SQ second. Thank you

For comps look at the Resonant Engineering RE series and the OZ Audio Vector series (contact Tplaya07 on here about them).

For amps, I'd much rather take a US Acoustics or Profile amp over Boss.

^^ above listed are better but, Alpine Type R's are ok.

Forgot to mention, there currently is a group buy on those RE comps, $129 shipped for them:

Everything that I have researched on this forum for my own mids and highs leads me back to Resonant Engineering every time. I have talked to numerous people and plan on doing the XXX components when they come out, so from what I have read and listened too I would say the RE components would be great. Get in on that Groupbuy

Good Luck

Yeah those XXX arn't going to be cheaper then $150. Probably more like 200-300 is what my guess is. But yeah go for the RE comps...group buy man there ya go

If RE ever offers a full XXX comp set, they'll be in the $400 + shipping range.

Sorry, I was suggesting the RE line, just stating what I am personally going with. and when I talked to RE the other day I was told the XXX components would be $250 If thats correct or not I have no idea, just what I was told.

if RE themselves told you, i would assume it's accurate since they are selling them

Yes, it's on their website. But currently only the mids are available, and last I heard they were unsure if they would offer a full comp set w/ the XXX mids since most of the interest seemed to be in the mids themselves.

I would imagine the guy misunderstood me and thought I was interested in only the mids. Thats probably why he told me 250.

Squeak is much more knowledgable on this stuff than I am.

Now that i look at those RE's i kinda want something with a little bigger tweeter....like 1 inch...i made a little more money and lets push the limit to 200.

So what the best for 200???
