i was reading reviews on the net for these type of speakers and they said they were great speakers only if the were amped. i have a deck with 50 watts max and 22 RMS now and i plan to amp them in a few months but i was wondering if that deck could push them well or would hardely anything come out. plus r these any good?

For about the same price you can get 7x10's from DLS. They are the 1070's.

those speakers are pretty decent...i own them, theyve always been amped...so i cant answer your HU question. anyways I thought they were good at the time, but you can get a lot better for the price, just dont give in and buy quick.

do you have to have 6x9's? if you could go 6.5" you could get a nice component set (RE RE comps for 130$ shipped right now on the group buy) or you could get CDT Cl61 comps for 150$ from thezeb or get them from djdilliodon on this forum. You could also even get the Cl C6x coaxial speakers for real cheap, i believe around 70$ from don.
i dont know much about other 6x9's though. in my research in brands like RE, CDT, dls, Rainbow, ARC, all i ever look at is component stuff. But definetly look into those brands...
if you dont decide to go with any of those and you want to go with the infinitys, think about upgrading to the Kappa series.

oh another thing I wanted to add was that even if they are run off the HU, if they are replacing factory speakers (Given that the car does not come with a Bose system, or an aftermarket system, you know what I mean) you will hear improvements.
