99 Bose in Denali, want to swap head unit

I have a 99 Yukon Denail with the Bose stereo in it. Can I switch the head unit without using any adapters or can I wire the new head unit right to the factory wiring and use the Bose speakers and amp.

Will an aftermarket stereo provide too much power to the factory Bose amp?

Is there any difference from a normal factory head unit and a Bose head unit. I have heard there is no difference.

I have not decided on a head unit yet.
