Hey i was looking into going with an 18 xxx and i was wondering if one set of kicker ss series componets would be loud enough for the 18? Or would u think i would need to go with two sets? The sub is going to be ported by the way but only to about 30 hz but im sure it will still be f'n loud.

One set and an ample amp should be good enough I would think

you must have a lot of money man..those sets are expensive as hell.. 1 set should be plenty if u amp them right.

The more speakers you have, the more cancellation, phasing and time arrival issues you'll have to deal with.

ha ha yea money not really a big problem i been workn basically since i was 8 with my dad and yea summers and weekends saved up that becomes mad $$$ after so long. Aphinney have u had a set? u seem to like them every time i talk about them you have somethin good to say. Its weird cause the people i do talk to about them love them to death but not many people have them... i figured lots of people would want them if there as good as the people i have talked to say they are. Yea i would like to run only one set... but also whats the point to a nice system if all u hear is bomb bomb bomb, dont get me wrong i love bass but i defently need to be able to hear my music two. I listen to mainly rap and the lyrics are just as important to me as the bass.

I ran the SS562's before I sold that truck for a Tahoe...now I'm running the new 05 Resolution RS652's...but the SS were the smoothest we have built IMHO...

PS pics of you Velle? I love older cars :D

lol hmm who would that be? well since you guys have see the car now and have an idea on what the interior is like and what not im goin to need a lot of help on picking out what system to go with... like i said i would like a xxx 18 in the trunk and 1 or two sets of kicker ss series componets up front with 8 inch mid bass kicker ss of course..... but theres no way im tearing my car apart so im really confused on how im going put the componets in.... like im sure the sub would be ok if i have enough room but how can i mount the componets and mid bass and anything else with out messing up the car..... i mean im sure u guys know its just not a type of car you go drilling holes in you know? Just a little confused any help would be great thanks everyone for the help already!
Also the hu is going to be a avic-n2 was goin to go wit the n1 but hey n2 looks even better... And if i go with the 18 im pretty sure ill just go ahead and but a new ho alt to make sure everything runs smooth and correct. I know it sounds like want want want but im just trying to do as much as i can correct the first time...... thanks again

My pops use to have one of those about ten years ago. Those things purr Super nice ride! And those Kicker SS, if your gonna spend that kind of money just thorwin' it at ya I would recomend the MB Quart QSD's. Heard my fair share of both and with my kicker subs the MB quarts were still heard and not all nasty soundin'...they sounded great still!
