hey
if you have 2 different size speakers (ie 4x6s and 6x9s) do they have to have the same exact rms and max wattage or can the 6x9s be more and just have the fade put to the them so the 4x6s dont have as much power going to them

No, they do not have to have the same rated RMS wattage. And no, you do not need to fade to the rear if the rear speaker has the higher power handling.

Plus do not pay any attention to that max rating. The rms is the only power rating you should worry about.

and at that, RMS rating is only thermal, so thats how much heat (power) that speaker can take constantly. You do not need to supply this number to reach maximum output from the speaker.
