ok i have a question.... i have a pioneer premier p860 HU and the preouts are 6.5V..... my amp is a rockford fosgate power 1001bd and i read in the manual that its input sensitivity is from 600mV to 6V is my HU too powerful for my amp, i mean would it be sending it too much signal? i really duno because that seems the case, the amp is performing fine right now but i was seein if i should do anything about it, thanks!

You will be fine and you do not have to match them up perfectly. Plus the 6.5 Volts is probably achieved with full HU settings....bass up sub level up and volume maxed etc.

Yeah you would have to turn your sub level and volume all the way up to reach full 6.5v. You will be fine. Just do the amp gain setting thingy. Read the help guide.

you'll be fine......that 6.5v isn't rms, its incremental based on gain setting/volume

yeah i was tiring that the other day to a boss audio amp.
i was using a panasonic HU with 5v outputs and the amps input sensitivity is .2 to 4V and it worked fine even at high volume
you'll be fine
