Spend as much $$ as you possibly can on the front speakers, as they are the largest factor in how your stereo sounds.

Anyways.....for $100 or less, I'd rather go with a high quality co-axial rather than a low end comp set.....Boston Acoustics, Focal, Rainbow, Pioneer REV series, etc. That's just IMHO

dude. **** YOU

will you just LEAVE already? you are a worthless pile of garbage! stop telling people stuff when you have CRAPPY LOW END EQUIPMENT and have never EVER had anything good.

this guy claims he does not read anything over 7 lines or some bullshit - so i DOUBT he knows anything, because he cant even read the directions to an advil box if what he says is true.

he is a worthless sac of an epidermeous and all kinds of gross things that i wanna say. but im too lazy. so im not gonna. :yumyum:

anywho. listen to squeak. he knows the dillio. front stage is like he said - the most important part. its where YOU sit, its where YOU hear the music, and it usually range from about 80hz~20,000hz.

maybe a pair of CDT's will do you a favor. pm TPlaya07 here on the boards. if you are in a pinch, i know you can get some Power Acoustic 5.25's for $50~60... so PM Monte_Carlo97 here on the boards, he can prolly hook you up with a pair and a fat warranty.

Polecat, who's probably lurking, works for Kicker. From what I can tell (s)he works in high places, too. Seeing as I have never listened to kicker, and noone here is replying, I'd say ask him.

You can also pick up Oz Vector 5.25 comps for about $120 shipped from Tplaya07. While the 6.5"s are sold out, the 5.25" are not. Definitely worth the extra $20.

I didn't know. We can't just assume everyone here is male. I think we have 1 or 2 unconfirmed female members lurking. =p

Oh, and I should mention I've listened to the JVC Bronzie 6.5" coaxials that ProfilePower was talking about. In an F150 (solid doors, nice baffle) and a Pioneer DEH1400 to power them, they were $45 of pure bliss. Something to consider.

yea i have a bonneville sse now and in the doors it alreadys has 5.25 components so i want to replace them and not put in co's. But yea those OZ's are good? Also somebody tell me how those kickers are. I am not looking for a competetion type car. The cavailer is loud enough this is my luxuary car. But i want some bump.

the 5 1/4s the best speakers i ever heard.......
its true i havent heard alot of speakers..but i know these are great....
the jvc has a nice mid bass. whic yours doesnt i think..you might have a 5 1/4 with more max power but
the bass is like 60hz.where mine is 40hz.

Go 6 1/2's....

Do whatever you must to get them fit.. Settle for nothing less..

That's just nonsense. There are a few 5.25s that give as much midbass as 6.5s.

Help me out, I wanna recommend the JVCs, I really do find them to be good speakers, but you know who is really just killing one of the only good things JVC has. Here is my review of the JVC Bronzie 6.5 coaxials. (http://forums.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=77728) I tried them out in two completely opposite setups. Read the entire thing, ignore ProfilePower, and make up your own mind.

Oh, and just to say, the Oz Vector's are a little more popular around here, rave reviews all around, from what I've read. If anything, you're getting more than you pay for.

<<< Was an oz dealer for 3 years and a good friend of John "original owner of oz audio" and I can tell ya there 5.25" are sick little midbasses.

Back in the day before people call it **** "like 7 years ago" we used to hit the little 5's with 25hz tones and get a GOOD laugh for how well they did.

I was never a big fan of oz's components overall but was a HUGE and still am a HUGE fan of there older subs. I am a picky little bastard when it comes to my front stage so do not let that lead ya away from the oz gear, you would be VERY pleased with it and with the 5.25" performance!!! :)
