my first question is why do you want 4 6x9's?

Are you saying you have 2 channels but want to use 4 speakers?
Only way I can think of is to put 2 speakers on 1 channel, better series wire the speakers though, otherwise the impedance might get to low.

you want to run 4 6x9's off the rear channels of the head unit? yes you can... but you will have to series 2 for each channel... and it will run at 8 ohms... and a headunit puts out around 20 watts RMS per channel... so that's about 10 watts per speaker...

Bah, most any well made HU can handle 2 ohm loads easy, in my experience.

I wouldn't chance running a headunits internal amp at 2ohms. Wire them like Slody4Futbol said, wire two speakers in series (so then you'd have 2 pairs) and wire each pair to the headunit.

Though, I still don't see why you want four 6x9's.

lol....I don't know why people do this but I've seen it alot around here.

Most of the time guys in the older model GM cars ( Regal, Cutless, Caprice ) will cut out thier back deck and install 4 6x9's and run it off the headunit or a small four channel amp. The set up is loud and s****. The funny thing is that the think it sounds good.
