6.5's in my 98 Acura Integra [Archive] - Car Audio Forum

hey guys, I'm looking for a decent set of 6.5's for my 98 Acura Integra. I have a Alpine 9807 headunit. I'm looking to spend about $300 for them(possibly more, but I don't want to spend a lot..less the better! ).

I was content with the kappa's, but I'd like something little better. I'm not looking to enter any competitions, I just like music. I listen to every type of music. I'm not looking for any rear fill or subs. Just front speakers (for now i suppose).

I've read through old posts and people say the RE RE's are good but the tweeters aren't too good.

My old setup:
Alpine 9807
Front Speakers: Infinity Kappa 60.5cs, Component Speaker System
Rear Speakers: Infinity Kappa 652.5i,2-Way Speaker
Sub: Elemental Designs e12O.44
Box: Custom e12O.44 Specs
Amp: Phoenix Gold 5.0:1

I just recently purchased another integra 98 gs-r and sold my other integra to my sisters bf. I left the speakers in for him and took the amp/sub out. Actually trying to sell the amp/sub because it just takes up 2 much room.

Always heard good things about CDT's.. but which ones? and how about DLS's?

both are great. its too bad you'll never have a chance to hear both side by side unless you can meet up wtih a dealer

CDTs are awesome. I run DLS in my teg, but until you get to the UR6s, the lower priced CDTs are a better speaker. I would just get the $200 CFEFis and then get a nice amp to run them.

Talk to djdilliodon. He has the best prices on CDT and DLS, and sells both, so he can steer you in the right direction.

I had the CDT EFCFis with the 560 crossovers. Great speakers for ~200-220, but when I got a new car, I went with the DLS UR6 and I love them. Much more vocal and midbass. Then again, they are $150 more, so they should be a better speaker.
