DIY set looking for opinions

Ok I'm starting to narrow down my search for my DIY components.

For midbass I'm probably going with the xxx 6.5's. I was thinking about getting a pair of 7" revs, but it doesn't really seem like it's be worth 2x the price of the xxx's. Plus I've heard they don't take too well to moisture in the air, so that might be a problem here in FL.

For tweeters I'm still not quite sure. I was thinking of getting a pair of Morel mdt-33's. Any experiences with these particular tweets? What else would you recommend if anything? I listen to mostly metal/rock/techno/trance/rap if that matters, so i want one that sounds good as well as can get loud.

Also I'm thinking about going 3-way and looking for a good 4" midrange. Again I want one that sounds nice and can get loud with as little distortion as possible.

As for a crossover, well it depends on if I want to go 2 or 3-way. Thinking tru or audiocontrol. Are the in-dash eq/xover combos any good? if so I might go for one of those...

Oh forgot to add that. I'm looking at spending no more than 250/pair each part (tweet/mid/midbass). Maybe a little more if its an amazing piece.....

well todays your lucky day... i have a great price on some of the best midrange i've heard. they were part of my 3-way but with the limited kick space in my xterra i decided to go back to 2way... that and im broke haha. so, for $120 you can have my MINT scan-speak 13m/8640. very similar to the rev 4" mids and **** they sound good. also have some lpg 26na's if you're interested. best tweet for the money imo and TINY. this combo was awesome in my car. with the money saved, i highly recommend you get an eq or a capable head unit.

Thanks I'll think about it, still not sure if I want to go 2 or 3-way yet. I'm kinda leaning toward 3-way, but I'll let you know when i decide....
