Pioneer dvh-p5000mp problem

hi mates,

i have buy in u.s.a. a headunit dvh-p5000mp

my problem is:
i'm living in Italy where the region code of dvd is 2
the headunit i bought is region code 1 (u.s. & canada)

somobody know the method to convert the headunit in region code 2 or region free?

I don't think that is possible. It all depend on the region code on the disc.
