You didn't say what tuning frequency. A correct sealed enclosure usually gives a 'tighter' sound and feel compared to ported, and is very musical and very accurate. Ported/vented will almost always be atleast 3db louder, and depending on the tuning frequency you can get plenty loud with good accuracy, very loud with degraded accuracy and a huge peak in your bass response, or somewhere in between.

It all depends on what your trying to acheive ;) ...

u never said what size jl's..that is going to matter as well.



if ur saying u've got 2.2ft^3 now, i'm assuming that is the gross volume u can have. after u subtract sub and port displacement, u won't have that much.


looks as though (unless they are 8's, maybe 10's) ur going to be better off going sealed.






but u need to give us a touch more info...
