covering subs w/ plexi

i plan to invert my subs in the box, and have the box face the rear of the trunk...i want to show off the back of the subs through plexi, does this have any affect on sound??
an example of what i'm thinking of doing is this

i think it looks bad ***, but i also want it to sound ******, will this ruin the sound?

Just make sure you use thick enough plexi for it not to flex. I would use 1" plexi and brace it in the middle (or make two smaller windows).

plexi glass = f**king expensive. that much would cost so mucb.
