Does anyone know of a deck that plays mp3 dvds, Something with 2-3 pre outs, and a remote preferably alpine but I pretty sure they don't make one.

Mp3 cd's just are not cutting it anymore, and I don't want an ipod.

Thanks, I wasn't sure wether or not that model played mp3 dvds, still not really sure but I guess I will start saving the cash to buy that deck. Anything out there any cheaper, lowest I could find was 698.00+29 shipping for a new one. 600 lowest for a used.

Hmm, I still am not sure if it plays DVD-R

"deck with DVD-R/RW Playback" I checked out the specs and it isn't listed or says anything about it...confused. :pissed:

No thats just what I looked up, I couldn't find a single deck out there that plays them. There isn't anything that acknowledges any type of DVD-MP3 player, there is hardly any portible DVD-MP3 players...alls I know is that my DVD player at home hooked up to my tv plays CD-MP3 disk.

I have yet to find or get a chance to test something like that out. Nero, one of the programs I use burns DVD-MP3, but I have yet to find a "DVD-MP3 player".

It's alright, I was watching....lol...pimp my ride...and there is a mp4 player that plays mpeg-4 videos, theres got to be some kind of dvd-mp3 player? Maybe the DVA-7996 does play them, could anyone out there garrentee it?

My laptop came with a dvd burner and I have yet to use it...worthless technology only because it has so few applications.

Forget it, there isn't one out there.

If I really really really want one, I suppose I'll have to settle for an ipod...but F*** that... I'll just keep using my mp3 cds...

I still find the cheapest solution to be a head unit with aux in and a hard drive based mp3 player. Doesn't have to be an iPod.

Does anyone know which units have the built in HD? I'm pretty sure one of the clarions I looked at had it, but I'm not sure which one. Yes i used the search button, and no it didn't help before anyone says "stfu n00b use search"

there is an alpine deck with a 16 gigabit hard drive, you can get it for less than 500, I think 250, but the price may have gone up.

HDA-5460

my only problem with it is the fact it only had 1 pre out.

*bump* of a very old thread, but in case anyone comes across this, the Kenwood Double Din units, such as DDX-7015, DDX-7017, 6019, 8017 etc all read mp3 DVD discs. I've had the 7015 and the 8017 and have played many homemade DVD-R and DVD+R's filled with mp3's on them.

Many head units play MP3 DVDs now ...

Really, like which ones? I know all of the new Eclipses do not, neither did the double din Pioneers. I have demoed them all.

the jvc kd-avx1 or the kd-avx2 plays them. i have the avx1. not too bad of a unit. i like the fact that i can assign a picture to each song to display on the screen (nero will not burn this way, but roxio will). it is sufficient, but i am going to find a flip out that will play them. watching movies on a 3.5 inch screen *****. my playstation plays dvd mp3's which tells me almost any dvd player will play them. playstation is very limited in what dvd's it reads.
