Question on headunits..

I'm a Kenwood and Clarion fan normally, but I gotta ask, what really makes this Kenwwod Headunit,



Don't know why those don't work


any Better than this off brand unit by some company called ""Dual"?? Besides looks. I'm stricktly talking about performance.. Seems as easy to work as the Kenwood and the display looks just as nice...




I'm not planning on buying the "Dual", but I'm just curious....

yea, I thought that too, till I had the experiences I have had with my last two Kenwood Head units...

My 2nd to last one, always Skipped, had to have the buttons replaced twice, then pixels on the display went out, then whole thing just went out. Meaning it would not power on, it just died. Unfourtunatley, it was just afterthe warrenty...

My last/current one.

The Whole unit died after about 6 Months Crutchfield replaced it.
The new one was cool till the tuner went out, again they replaced it.

Lastly it developed and issue where it would not play the CD/DVD in the unit and it would not eject it... just scanned it for several second and said no disc... Sounds like a laser or Load mech....

I called and called and called and kept gtting the run around. Finally, I was told I should ship it back and pay the shipping to them, for them to fix it and for them to ship it back. I was like f-that.. I'll just get something different... I keep messing with it and a few weeks later, it worked again... Its done that twice now, but has been working fine for a few months...

Don't get me wrong, I really like Kenwoods, I have had a ton of them and Sonys (I know everyone hates them and their <Inset Fav Brand here> is way better) and not had a lot)

I'm starting to think all customer service and support ***** now days... The only companies I've had good dealings with are RE and Hifonics... They have been cool when I called and answered all questions either by call or e-mail...
