I trying to design a box for my ed 16Kv.2 (14 inch mounting hole needed)that I am ordering. Now I have height restrictions in my trunk so this is what I got sofar. The rectangle box will be 16 inches high, 12 inches deep and 29 inches wide using .75 inch mdf.

Internal volume after subtracting (.08 Ft^3 )subwoofer displacement is 2.34296 Ft^3.

I am going to use a 3 inch round port. I dont know if this is right but I figure in this setup I will require a 6.84197 inch long port.

Can someone verify if I am correct with these? Because I used some online calculator and I dont know if I should trust the numbers.

Any ideas or concerns with this setup?

If you use a 3" round port you are going to have a TON of port noise... you need 2 4" ports at the LEAST. Why not build a slot ported box?

I just thought ithat if i use a round port as aposed to a slot port I will be able to keep the box size smaller.

If I redo the calculations with 4 inch ports as you say. Do I just cut the required length in half devided between the two ports? And is port placement an issue?

using the same dimensions, going for a 30Hz tune it says to use 13.13428 inches of 4 inch port or roughly 13 and 1/8 inches of total port length for a box that is 2.34296 ft^3.

if you go from 1 4" port to 2 4" ports, you are gonna have to increase the length by alot on each port. The ports will probably need to be much longer than the box is deep, a slot port is probably your best option.
