Okay the sealed box for my magnum is 2.3 cu ft. and it's 24''(w) x 16''(l) x 13''(d).

1. First what would be the advantages of biulding another box to 3.3 cu ft. sealed ?

2. Secondly wouldn't I just add 12 inches to the width of the box to gain another cu ft. making the new sealed enclosure 36'' x 16'' x 13''? If that's wrong please correct me I would like to build this new box today.

3. Finally, this is my first box (had someone else make the one listed above), and I don't know how to construct the joints...wood glue? screws? nail gun?

TIA

sealed boxs are generally supposed to be smaller. unless of coarse your application calls for a biger box. what is it that you want out of your sub? do you want it to be louder or sound better. with sealed boxs you usually wanna give the driver more power than you would in a ported box. however you should look up the specs of the driver as to not over power it. as far as building a box. all you really need is wood glue to hold it together. however a nail gun (if you got one) or some screws cant hurt at all. they will help insure a tight seal in your joints. also get some caulk for the inside seams of the box just to make sure that no air leaks form it.
as fat as your box calculations im getting 4.3^3ft however if you have already calculated displacement and wood thickness. you may be closer to your 3.3^3ft to check it just use this formula LxWxH/1728 in your case it would be 36x16x13 which is 7488 then divide by 1728 as thats how many cubic inches are in a cubic foot and you get 4.333333333

From what I've read...no unless it's put in properly which is very hard to do. Not sure though.

Does the pink panther fiberglass stuff = polyfill or at least do the same thing as polyfill?

yes it can work for ported's.

I've never tried it though...

From what I understand: line the walls with it, be sure its affixed to the walls (not to block or shoot out of port), keep in mind it will throw off the tuning.

SI recommends 2 cubes sealed for the 15'' and it displaces .3 cu ft. so 2.3 cu ft. box = 2 cubes sealed.
