I currently have two RE8s and my GF is getting me two more RE8s for Christmas :D
And I was planning on building a vented box, 2 cubes 35hz.

Since its going in my reg cab truck I was thinking of making two ports on each end, firing toward the sides of the cab... And I was just wondering if this was going to be OK, having two ports in a common chamber box firing opposite directions?

i was thinking about doing the same thing.. but y don't you make them seperated inside the box and fire the ports up?

I do not see why it would be a problem as long as they have a few inches of clearance. If they are firing up behind your head you might here a little port noise at times.

I was going to build them on the bottom part of the box...
The photo below shows my current box... the one I plan to build will be the same way with a port on each side in the same location.

It will be fine as long as they have about 5 or 6 inches of clearance.
