HT sub box question... contains some thoughts on ABC boxes.

I am in the design phase, I have an old Nak 10" sub sitting at home. I want to play around, and I need a sub for HT so its a perfect time.

I have been doing some reading, and am looking for input on what everyone thinks about ABC boxes. The idea is to tune the main chamber (looking to make it about 1.5ft^3) to 23Hz, and then that way the second chamber (.75ft^3) would be tuned to approx 46Hz, providing me output and a relatively flat response, with a theoretical 4-6dB gain over a sealed application.

Thoughts?

If someone there doesn't know the answer, then you probably imagined the whole thing. That's the most knowledgeable group I've ever seen. I could spend days just reading through some of the posts, or looking at the pictures of various HT setups (and I have).

I've buily on for a Visonik that I'd had laying around. Currently it's attached to my home stereo.
