Quick Box Question

i bought one of those MTX 8000 sub's for a temporary system. I built a box out of 1/2 MDF, I was wondering if this should be sufficient for that sub since its not the best sub in the world and it will only be getting roughly 400 watts.

It'll work fine for a temp. Haven't you even heard of someone using a supermarket EGG BOX as an enclosure? If those will work, 1/2 MDF will do fine.
