i got to thinking about my system... its not that i really need or
want it to be any louder... i just want to feel the bass more...
unfortunatly this can only be remedied by increasing volume and
rattles ect... but what if you were to design a box to fit in the
back seat as close as you could to having it actually touch the
back of the drivers seat... [sure you could build all sorts of protective
pieces so the sub doesnt touch the seat its facing and not allow
for movement...]

would it work though???

Yes ...

have you ever tried it?

if so... was it worth the effort?

would it be better to have the actual sub face the front of the backseat
or the back of the front seat? if i were to port would it be better to
have it slot or round? firing which direction?

i thought they were like the rumble feature on
todays console games... they just vibrate to the
music since they are hooked up like speakers...

but im not sure at all...

What kind of vehicle?

Generally the output won't be as great with the box in cabin rather than in trunk, but it should make it "feel" louder....give 'er a whirl.

well i have my sub box w/ 2 12inch powerbase chrome series subs, sitting in the backseat of my 94 saturn sc2. the subs are facing the back of the front seats. to me and others that have set in my car think the bass is a lot louder than what it was when in the trunk. my backseats fold down and i use to have them down all the time w/ the subs on top of them so the trunk and cabin was like 1 piece and it wasnt as loud. so now i just leave the seats folded up and all the bass stays in the cabin which like i said sounds a lot louder. so yes it works.

Well, i have a 1992 Dodge Dakota extended cab. All of my setups have been behind my seat...currently i have an 18 XXX DIRECTLY behind my driver's seat (it takes up part of the middle seat too...lol) I mean, i moved my seat up one notch...just in case it would hit my seat when moving a lot! But, anyways...lemme tell ya i feel it! lol, so you...you feel it...a lot in my case! peace
