well i have tried fiberglassing about 3 times and they were all deemed unsuccessful. I just don't think i have the patience that it requires. I just could never get the fabric to form the way i wanted. I want to be able to do it while having someone that knows what they are doing by my side.

me and my buddy are fiberglassing his entire eclipse to make it look like a show car lol. we redid his dash, kick panels, middle console, door panels, rear panels (where rear doors would be) and when it gets warm out we are starting a 4 month project on his trunk. I have been workin with fiberglass for about 4 months now and i dont think im too bad at it. i'm also like a half hour or so away from you.

about the thing in cinci. just let me know when it happens and i'll be up there for sure. monte, hit me up about your fiberglassing stuff. Can't do it this weekend because of the fact that It is my 18th birthday and i'm not gonna be able to see straight all weekend.

Skep man if you can help me out that will be awesome. might work ot over something like christmas break. You can come over here and live for a few days or i could travel over there. Whatever works i just need to do this. I don't neccessarily need someone to do the whole thing for me. I just want some help from someone that knows what the hell there doing unlike me.

I got a center council and i want to mold a screen and a mount for a dvd player. I have tried tackling fiberglassing before but it just kinda just went to hell and my loss of patience.

Stretch fleece for the look. Resin it. Add mat+resin+more layers of both. Sand, bondo, sand, prime, paint.

I tried fleece, regular cloth, and spandex liek *****. I just can not get it to form like i want to.

I also decided that i would like to glass me rear deck. You still up to the challenge Skep.

That's what bondo is for;)

well. i would use kitty hair before i used filler.

and if you can get Evercoat brand, do it- it sands much eaiser than bondo brand. kitty hair is basically body filler with fiberglass hairs mixed in for strength. then get some skim coat (really thin filler) sometimes called icing - and coat with that after and sand for a smooth surface. the icing is basically only if you wanna paint. if you are gonna carpet, you should be fine with a rough sand after filling with kitty hair.

Update. I decided to go ahead and try it myself and it is turning out quite well. Instead of trying to use my old center council i am constructing a new one.
