I just built a box for my dvc re8,

after displacement it's 5cuf
12" long port
2" port diam

I get some port noice, I figure i'll just build a better enclosure..

Ported ofcorse

SO how should I go about this ?

would like to port it to 28Hz

help please ???

Might as well run it without an enclosure with that size, lol. Download WinISD, learn how to use it, and design an appropriately sized box.

Porting it that low may not really be much help. Just will waste a lot of space with the port. Porting it around 34hz will make it louder, and will really not sound much worse, if any...

It gives you a rough estimate of what your port length and volume should be. The response graphs are consistently inaccurate, and IMO I wouldn't waste my time with the program. Just dust off your algebra skills and use the formula off of JL's website.

I have had real good results from it, mind you it isnt any BBP6 though. But what do you expect for free?
