Alpine 9835

Well...anyone here use this deck, and have any opinions on it? I'm thinking about treating myself to a new piece of car audio gear...hey, it's been at least six months since I last bought anything :) A friend of mine has this deck, and the MP3 playback features blew me away, especially the searching features and the display. Much, much nicer than my 7894. I mean, it's served me well for the year or so I've had it...but I'm awfully tempted to upgrade. It also gives me a reason to finally put ferrite chokes on my speaker wiring, something I've been too lazy to get behind the dash to do. :toast:

Even though I don't have an Ipod, it might give me a reason to buy one...yum.

Thoughts? Opinions?

I used to have a 7894 and switched to the 9835. You might want to play with it at a store first to see if you like it because people usually love it or hate it. I love mine. :D

HAHAHA same as the above...

I had an alpine 7894, liked it! I then went with an eclipse 8053 w/ balanced 16v pre-outs. Sold it, and decided to go with the 9835...i LOVE it. I love alpine HU's, just a preference...they are my favorite. peace

I love alpine as well. Im on my 5th one.
Had the 7995, 7875, 7894, still have the 7977, and 9835.
