Slot Ported Box

I was pretty set on building this box for two Pioneer TS-W305C/DVCs, until I heard that a slot ported box would have less port noise:

External Dimensions:
Height - 15"
Width - 30"
Depth - 18"
Thickness - 0.75" (3/4" MDF)

One 4" diameter x 8" long port

Net Volume - 3.2 ft^3
Tuning Frequency - 31hz

Could someone help me with plans for a similar slot ported box? I want to keep the tuning around 31hz, or possibly lower (if tuning to 31hz will keep it from playing some notes). I have 40x30x18 inches to work with. Are there any other advantages/disadvantages between tube ported/slot ported boxes?

That's okay, it can be bigger than the other box as long as it fits within 40x30x18 inches. :p: I would like to have some usable trunk space, though.
