Im looking to buy an indash all-in-one unit. I was looking to see if anyone has any suggestions on which models they recommend. I am really curious as to what happens in the background while a cd is playing on different models.
Also are there any good models out there with just a built in cd player and then just add on a PS2?

Best unit avaliable to the date.
IIRC when you play a CD you can view a screen saver

yea the 7500 is good but cost too much for me
i was mainly asking what is the best last years model that i can find on ebay for around 700

The 6500 is good also.
Panasonics have bad menu's and the screen is prone to breaking*cough* FRY'S *cough*.
The Kenwood toughscreen( IDK the model#) id good.
It doesnt have a powered screen so its less prone to breaking.
It is a good thing

ok i have the same exact question as bobo. Does the 6500 have lil screen savers or backrounds while the cd is playing. I'm looking to buy an in-dash but i'm lost in all of them out there. I'm looking to spend no more than 1200

Check out the Kenwood DDX-7055, it's a double din unit that's pretty sweet, that's the one I'm buying and I've found it on ebay between the mid $700-$800's, so at least take a look...... :D :D :D

what is double DIN, and how does it differ from just regular DIN, also does anybody have opinions on the pioneer 6600 cuz i saw it, and it looks pretty nice.
12-08-2004, 06:40 AM
what is double DIN
What that means is that this radio is the size off 2 standard radios, most aftermarket radio's are "DIN" size, it's standard of measurement that came over from Germany :D :D :D

well has anybody had any experience with the pioneer 6600, i looked at it online and it seems like a nice unit. I'm looking to get an indash in the next couple of weeks. Does the 6600 have backrounds or screen savers while a cd is playing.
