Guys.. im looking for some shallow mount components. 6.5" I have about 2.5" to play with.

these come to mind

diamond S600
Diamond m3

most 5 1/4 comps. fit fine... is there much difference between the 6.5 and 5 1/4 besides better midmass?

if i wanted to run comps. upfront only with no rear fill.. would i need a 2 or 4 channel amp?

Thanks

Rich... also.. all you pros... please check out my box thread... i need major help in there. heh

Are you going to be top mounting these? Because that may give you some added depth.

if you have no rear fill, you are prolly wanting more midbass and therefore will want 6.5's. i suggest cutting a baffle out of wood to raise it that last 1\8th of an inch if needed - try and see if a crappy 6.5 will fit in with a baffle made for it to give some added depth. you might only need a fraction of an inch to get those 6.5's to fit sir.

pictures would be very helpful.

would i still be able to use my factory grill?

would i have to cut my door panel?

i want everything to nice and stealth. i dont want grills and speakers popping out.

2 channel or 4 channel amp?
